When it comes to bags and purses there are more options then you can imagine. If you expand those selections to include more then just the typical handbags purses for things like totes and other utility bags the choices can be dizzying. The key to finding the right bag or purse for you is know what it is you want out of the bag you are looking for. Is the most important thing for your next handbag or purse to look good, or is it more important that it’s functions well? Asking yourself those types of questions is going to get you well along the path of finding the perfect bag.
Designer Bags Purses
These are usually the kind of bags that women think of when someone mentions handbags and purses. They range from a small handbag that will match your dress to the over-sized stylish options you see on the cover of the magazines at the supermarket. These are great and will really make you look good. Depending on the exact bag you choose they may or may not be all the functional, but if the goal is to look good who cares, right?
Fashion Bags Purses
These also are of the variety that you will see similar on the supermarket magazines. The difference to me though is that a designer bag is going to be a name brand pricey option, where a fashion bag is going to attempt to look at much like the name brand as possible but charge you a whole lot less.
Shoulder Bags Purses
A shoulder bag or purse is still going to be fashionable and can range in price from very expensive to downright cheap. The key is that their focus is going to be a little more functional then a pure designer or fashion bag. Typically when you mention functional a big part of that is that you can fit a lot of your stuff in there, which also means it can get heavy. A shoulder bag or purse will be a little more comfortable if that is the case because you can sling it over your shoulder to lug it around. Also, remember if it’s getting to heavy and uncomfortable then maybe it time to clean it out! 
Tote Bags Purses
Depending on who you ask you will get two very different answers about what a tote bag or purse is. If you ask someone who is very familiar with designer bags then you’ll find out a tote bag is much like those that we mentioned on the magazines at the supermarket that the famous actresses are carrying. If you ask a Mom who is on her way into the supermarket then you’ll find out that a tote bag is those canvas bags that you can buy for a dollar and bring home your groceries in. Both are great but very different. The designer tote bags are going to make you look great, and then canvas totes are going to save the environment so either way its a win for you. Why not cut out the decision and just get both?
Plastic Bags Purses
Plastic bags and purses can also cover a large range of options. Mainly they are referring to the materials they are made out of, as you can imagine I’m sure. They can be crocheted with large strands of plastic or can be sown together with sheets of plastic, but the thing they always have in common is that the main material is plastic. I’ve even seen plans online for projects that step you through how to make DIY recycled plastic bags which I think is a really cool idea!
So no matter when you are looking for when it comes to bags and purses the key is that you need to really put some thought into what you are looking for your new bag to do. Should it just look really good, or does it need to serve some additional function as well. Then once you know what you want it to do you can narrow your search to just what you are looking for.
